SHARK CP PRO®+ ECHINUS InvadurTM
SHARK CP PRO®
A plate system for anterior approach cervical intervertebral fusion from the German company Bricon.
Who is it for ?
The implant is indicated for patients suffering from acute or chronic instability of the motion segments in the cervical spine. Specifically, in degenerative disc disease, fracture, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma or stenosis, as support after discectomy and in the presence of pseudoarthrosis or tumor.
Why SHARK CP PRO®?
An improved plate system for intervertebral fusion based on the proven SHARK CP® system. Compared to the original model, it features a brand new locking mechanism that combines excellent safety and even better usability. The ultra-low profile with a diameter of only 1.95 mm contributes to a minimal incidence of post-operative complications such as dysphagia. Sufficiently large windows allow for comfortable bonegraft application.
The system comes with fully optimized instrumentation. The plates themselves are available in 41 sizes up to level 5 and have a length of 12-105 mm. The screws allow for angulation of ±10° and cranial/caudal up to 25°.
The system is compatible with other Bricon implants in our portfolio, specifically the ECHINUS InvadurTM intervertebral stabilization cage.
ECHINUS InvadurTM
Intervertebral cage from the German company Bricon used for stabilization and fusion of cervical spine segments by anterior approach.
Who is it for ?
The implant is indicated for patients suffering from acute or chronic instability of the motion segments in the cervical spine. Specifically, in cases of degenerative disc disease, fracture, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma or stenosis, as a support after discectomy and in case of pseudoarthrosis or tumor.
Why ECHINUS InvadurTM ?
The ECHINUS InvadurTM intervertebral cage features a titanium coating, which is applied using the vacuum plasma spray (VPS) method to guarantee high adhesion and optimal osseointegration. The body of the cage itself is made of thermoplastic PEKK from the PAEK group of polymers, which has been developed specifically for use in implants – it is not only biocompatible, but also X-ray transparent and usable for both CT and MRI scans.
The implant is available in tapered (lordotic) and arched (anatomic) designs and in a range of sizes that are easily adapted to the specific surgical procedure and the individual morphology of each patient.
The intervertebral cage is compatible with other Bricon implants in our portfolio, specifically the SHARK CP PRO® cervical intervertebral fusion plate system.
