HighV+®
Produced by a French company TEKNIMED this product is a combination of an injection system and a high viscosity radiopaque bone cement, also designed for use in high pressure injections.
Who is it for?
It is commonly used in modern procedures such as vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty to strengthen vertebrae or fix vertebral compression fractures that may arise, for example, as a result of osteoporosis. Cement is applied either directly into the vertebral body or into the vertebral body cavity and is also used in the treatment of certain types of tumours, such as haemangiomas or malignant lesions (metastatic cancers).
Why HighV+®?
The main advantage of the HighV+® bone cement and high viscosity injection system is that it reduces the risk of leaks during vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty operations. The bone cement allows many patients to be released on the day of surgery and eliminates numerous risks presented by complications in post-operative care.
Due to its high viscosity properties, HighV+® cement is ready for administration immediately after transfer to the injection. The transparent mixing system is designed for easy use and total delivery control during procedures while allowing the mixing process to be monitored throughout. It is also a closed system, therefore presents no risk of contamination at any time – the operator never comes into direct contact with the substance.
