Who is it for ?
The implant is indicated for patients suffering from acute or chronic instability of the motion segments in the cervical spine. Specifically, in degenerative disc disease, fracture, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma or stenosis, and in the case of pseudoarthrosis or tumor.
Why CAPRAIA-Z ?
A key advantage of the CAPRAIA-Z implant, as with similar implants from Tsunami Medical, is the innovative manufacturing process using selective laser fusion technology. This allows the combination of a flexible geometric design with a unique ” net ” structure. The roughness of the surface and the sufficient porosity of the implant then ensure a firm primary fixation, eliminating the risk of migration and promoting rapid and effective osteointegration in association with secondary fixation.
CAPRAIA-Z is fitted with special diagonal pins that replace commonly used screws and contribute to further strengthening the primary fixation. As a result, no additional material is required to secure the fixation mechanism during implant placement and the elasticity of the cage are not compromised.
