Origin®+ CAPRAIA
Origin®
System of lockable plates designed for cervical spine stabilization by anterior approach from German company ulrich medical.
Who is it for ?
The implant is indicated for patients suffering from degenerative pathologies of the intervertebral discs, disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, stenosis, fracture, osteophyses or, for example, hypertrophy of the posterior longitudinal ligament.
Why Origin®?
The implant is made of a biocompatible titanium-aluminium-vanadium alloy. It consists of a set of self-tapping and self-drilling screws and pre-bent inserts with a locking system that allows easy and intuitive instrumentation with a single dedicated tool.
It is also equipped with fixation holes for multi-level surgery and features one of the lowest profiles on the market, from 1.3 mm to 2.8 mm.
CAPRAIA
3D printed intervertebral cage from Italian company Tsunami Medical used for fixation and fusion of cervical spine segments via posterior approach.
Who is it for ?
The implant is indicated for patients suffering from acute or chronic instability of the motion segments in the cervical spine. Specifically, in cases of degenerative disc disease, fracture, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma or stenosis, and in the presence of pseudoarthrosis or tumor.
Why CAPRAIA ?
One of the main advantages of the Capraia implant is the innovative manufacturing process itself using selective laser melting technology, also known as 3D printing technology of titanium powder. This allows the combination of a flexible geometric design with a unique ” net ” structure that promotes the ingrowth of new bone tissue. The roughened surface further contributes to a stronger primary fixation and reduces the risk of implant migration.
Like other implants from Tsunami Medical, Capraia is offered in a wide range of sizes that easily adapt to individual anatomical needs and functions as a single self- sufficient system.
